KARMAFLOW: THE ROCK OPERA VIDEOGAME launches first trailer and announces more castmembers

In June this year, the team behind Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame revealed the first details on their project and an Indiegogo campaign started. Since then, Team Karmaflow worked hard to give the world a first impression of what the videogame will be like. A new, very early production video with some gameplay footage has been released on the Indiegogo page. Also, several new metal/rock singers have been added to the cast.

Creative director Ivo van Dijk states: "When launching the Indiegogo campaign we were planning on releasing new music and concept art every now and then. By doing so, we got lots of feedback from people who wanted to see some sort of gameplay video. We decided to make this trailer. The team has been working very hard to realize this video before the end of the campaign." The footage in the video is in a very early stage of production, and is meant to show off the basics of how the videogame will be played.

The video also reveals a first impression of how we interpret the newly created genre of rock opera videogames. Singer Henning Basse demonstrates the sung narrative through a creature called "The Flower Guardian".
New singers have been revealed throughout the campaign and the cast now consists of aformentioned Henning Basse (ex Firewind, Metallium), Marc Hudson (Dragonforce), Simone Simons (Epica), Mark Jansen (Epica, MaYaN), Elize Ryd (Amaranthe) and Dani Filth (Cradle of Filth, Devilment), with more singers to be revealed after the Indiegogo campaign. The world famous Dutch Metropole Orchestra will provide the orchestral score for the game, backed by a full rock band. There are two weeks left to support Team Karmaflow by pre-ordering on their Indiegogo campaign. Several new perks have been added to the campaign since it started.

Fulltime production of Karmaflow will start in September of this year, with the release set for late 2014.
